Also it tried to determine whether the views of parents change or not according to gender, age, education level, salary, and occupation. This research was designed in mixed type research. Research data was gathered Effect of Media on Changing Childhood Scale. In the study group of the research, there are 233 parents obtained for quantitative dimension and 40 teacher, and pre-service teachers achieved for qualitative dimension. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, t-test, Kruskal-Wallis H-test and Mann-Whitney U-test were used for quantitative dimension, content analysis was used for qualitative dimension. According to the findings, the participants showed high levels of participation in the negative impact of media on children. Participants responded 1 strongly agree, 22 agree and 7 moderately agree to 30 items in the scale. The item that participants showed the highest participation is “Computer games make children forget the traditional games”, the lowest participation is “Media makes an incentive effect on children’s wears one type clothing”. The views of the participants do not differ according to gender, age and salary; differ according to education level and occupation. University graduate parents showed higher participation than primary, secondary and high school graduate parents in the negative effect of media on children.
