Sumario:This article treats the processes of the sedentarization of the Fulani livestock in zone of savannah of the Chad as the means of adaptation to the rainfall more and more unpredictable regimes. From interviews with 60 domestic units of the cattle breeders distributed between three camps, it emerges that the repetition of environmental crises creates an almost permanent precarious situation in particular for livestock. The current conditions of their work are strongly modified by environmental conditions, especially reductions in rainfall. As answer to constraints, the cattle breeders settling their activities to mark the land (space). This reveals a capacity of adaptation of cattle breeders to environmental changes, that could be support by politics for land management and planning.
