Creation of the Center of Ionizing Technologies in the Republic of Moldova aims to „achieve a multipurpose irradiator for irradiation technology promotion in the Republic of Moldova”. The project is considered as a strategic investment to ensure the health and quality of life of the population and it is also considered as a model of a direct involvement of the research into the top economical aspects. In the paper, it is given the comparison of the industrial sterilization methods, highlighting the advantages of treatment by ionization.
