Sumario:The civil construction industry is important activity in economy of Brazil, but, is a major generator of environmental impacts and these factors result in the formation of degraded areas. These areas end up generating perilous situations with relevant consequences such as augmentation of the vulnerability of nearby water tables, rivers and streams, damages to adjacent edifications, streets and roads , air quality loss because of noises or pollution, unhealthiness resulting from residues depositation and damages to the neighboring population. In Brazil, degraded areas by civil construction occurred in three moments: in extracting and production of materials, in edifications construction and residues disposition. Therefore, it becomes inevitable the development of civil construction activities more adequate to sustainable principles and that do not cause so many degrading acts, searching for materials and constructive process that are integrated the man and ambient, with a good destination of residues.
