Sumario:A 120 day feeding cum digestion and metabolism trial- wars carried out to assess the effect of dried spleen un digestibility and nutrient Utilisation in 24 growing kith. Dried buffalo spleen wars added at a level of 0.1 per cent level in rations containing either l6 per cent or 12 percent crude protein. Jack leaves formed the sole source of roughage to the animals. Digestibility studies reveal no significant difference in digestibility of dry matter, and nitrogen free extract. Animals maintained on the spiecn incorporated rations showed better digestibility of crude protein and ether extract. Incorporation of dried spleen did not influence fibre digestion. Thu results of balance experiment showed better retention of nitrogen, calcium phosphorus and magnesium in the animals maintained on spleen incorporated diets.
