Sumario:The notion of ecological debt will be studied from a contractual point of view, as well as in relation to disputes in international business law. This study will focus on the recognition of ecological debt in international business law, as well as on the limits of this recognition, which result both in difficulties in implementing contractual commitments and in practices inspired by investment law, which is more mindful of investors’ protection than of the environment of the country where the investment is made.
