Although it has been a long time after the multiple losses experienced by the client, there has been no decrease in client’s response to the losses. In the sessions, integrative counseling with client-centered approaches, cognitive approaches Malkinson model (2009) and Worden model (2001) were administered. In the first sessions, basic counseling techniques such as confrontation and interpretation were avoided. The client was supported in order to establish trust and realistic language was used.Cognitive forms were utilized to follow the thoughts of the client. Techniques such as exploration of automatic thoughts, exposure, letter writing, mini-survey and socratic metod were also used. In addition, psycho-educational information which explains the situation was also provided in the sessions. The client lost his/her mother nearly two months after losing his wife/husband. Although it has been eighteen months over the deaths, there has been no decrease in client’s response to the losses and the client was not able to adapt to a life without her/her husband/wife. A total of twenty-two sessions, including monitoring studies, were held. The primary aim of the sessions was to help to the client in re-interpreting, configuring and adapting to his/her life after the losses and to develop adaptive strategies towards to changing life conditions.
