While the agency of endowments (waqf) which is spearheading of the waqf management has contributed greatly to achieve a just and prosperous society, through empowerment of productive endowments. This means making productive endowments as a medium to create economic justice, reducing poverty, developing the social of security system, providing health services, and developing educational facilities. Therefore, the waqf is a religious institution that has a direct functional linkage with the effort to solve the social and human problem. This phenomenon which makes the discussion of productive endowments is very urgent, especially if it is associated with the development of education.
