The dictionary was developed on the basis of numerous texts which were written in the 16th and 17th century by the Polish Armenians, who at that time used the Qypchak language, a representative of the Turkic family of languages, instead of the Armenian language (these people themselves referred to the Qypchak language as tatarcha i.e. “in the Tatar language”). The dictionary which is reviewed here (in a very positive way) may be accessed in an electronic version under the first name and last name of the author (English transcription: Aleksandr Garkavets, Qypchaq Dictionary).
