Ciente de sua atuação e da contribuição de sua obra, Rangel enfatiza em todo transcorrer da narrativa o lugar de suas análises quantitativas que, aliadas às especificidades obtidas na documentação, refletem suas concepções sobre o concubinato. Além disso, reforça, com argumentações e citações, a conexão do conteúdo com o histórico sobre a temática produzida ao longo das décadas. Mostra-se, portanto, um historiador, sabedor de sua ação no presente e de sua contribuição para o futuro. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Concubinato, família e mestiçagem ABSTRACT: We present a review of A in another house, Rangel Cerceau Netto, resulting from their submission to the Master's Thesis Program Graduate in History at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Aware of his role and contribution of his work, Rangel emphasizes throughout the course of the narrative rather than its quantitative analyzes, combined with specific obtained in the documentation, reflect his views on concubinage. It improves with arguments and quotes, the contents of the connection to the history on the subject produced over the decades. It is shown, therefore, a historian, knowing their action in the present and its contribution to the future.
