These elements are matched by a live mouse as a medium, and used for travelling consultations. The divinatory sessions are ritualized. Nowadays this kind of divination is profane; however, it derives from the cult of Gbekre, a judge deity who was the banner of the fight against colonialisation. Decorated boxes are only made by the Baule people.
