Sumario:BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: The 21st century is the century of knowledge & revolution. So that for writing nursing report and hospital files is based on computer registration. The reality is possible due to ability of nursing students;#39 computer skills. So this research was conducted with the aim of determine the nursing students;#39 skills in using computers. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional study. The research society was nursing students from first to eight semesters. The samples were 136 students. Sampling performed by available method. The tool of collecting data was a checklist based on Settlement questionnaire. Its validity and reliability was tested first then data was analyzed by using SPSS version 18. FINDINGS: In this study Students of 6, 7 and 8 semester showed maximum capability in field of Internet using. Overall 74 boys and 62 girls participated with satisfaction in this study. About 51.35% of girls in Word and 54.05% of boys in Windows showed full skills. The significant relationship between skills in working with computers and technology and the semester was found. Also a significant relationship was found between gender and skills in Internet (P=0.003). CONCLUSION: IT skills and computer training is one of the most important changes in third millennium. And it seems that the increase of this ability and using it itself is a motivation in learning, especially self-centered learning.
