Job satisfaction varies depending on the type of job the person works for and the characteristics of the workplace and geographic location, as well as the demographic characteristics of the employee such as the education level and gender. Considering the increasingly complicated work life, accelerated life tempo, and work stress that are getting more severe due to the new approaches introduced by the advancing technology, job satisfaction is very important in terms of individual psychology. The aim of this study is to examine the factors affecting job satisfaction, and to compile the relationship between job satisfaction level and work stress the sources of psychosomatic complaints related to work stress. In this context, firstly, the researches about job satisfaction, work stress and psychosomatic complaints were examined, and the findings were evaluated in accordance to make recommendations for the future research. According to the findings, it was observed that job satisfaction had a significant effect on the health status of the employees, and in a few studies in the literature, it was observed that the psychosomatic complaints of the individuals increased especially in low job satisfaction status and stress conditions. However, since there are not many studies investigating the relationship between job satisfaction and psychosomatic complaints of the employees in the literature, it is emphasized that more research is needed in this field in the future.
