Converted since the mid-twentieth century to Evangelicalism, a Protestant religious movement, the Baniwa renounced to alcohol consumption and turned sobriety into a main marker of their religious affiliation.Elise CapredonCentre de Recherches sur les Mondes AméricainsarticleIndiansAmazoniaBaniwaalcoholEvangelicalismAnthropologyGN1-890Latin America.
