Presynaptic endoplasmic reticulum regulates short-term plasticity in hippocampal synapses
Singh and colleagues report that the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) contributes to short-term plasticity (STP). Using modelling approaches they reveal that ER’s buffering capacities are crucial in this process.
