Sumario: | The metropolitan migration patterns are noteworthy in population studies especially when the metropolitan dynamics are placed in priority in the context of the current regional organization of Brazil. In this sense we must understand the internal differences in the function that each municipality and plays, as well as explore differential migration patterns among population groups. One such group that deserves attention refers to the low-income population that plays a fundamental role in the production of contemporary metropolitan space. Separation of income determines the type of migration performed. This paper presents an analysis concerning the migratory pattern of the population below the poverty line who performs in the years 2000 and 2010 from the census data. Research shows changing the distribution of flows between the years 2000 and 2010 that may be related to urban dynamic of the metropolitan area that (re) produces spatial segregation on a wider scale. |
