Sumario: | In the region of Bolivian Norte Potosí, the inhabitants of ayllu Aymaya can benefit from the tutelary action of the guardian mountains but also from the action of a category of specific stones: guardian stones. This protection is effective at a family level but not for the entire ayllu. This article is devoted to the study of the role of these guardian stones in the migratory and land history of this region. It thus makes it possible to enrich the research on the roots of social memory in the Andes. Moreover, this text expands the ethnography of mineral cosmos in the Andes, a subject that the Andean literature has not finished exhausting. |
