Description
Summary:Abstract The adsorption properties of hydroxyl‐ or amino‐terminated polyamines for Cu2+ ions are studied in detail by adopting the batch method, and the effects of main imprinting conditions, such as the concentrations of Cu2+ ions, temperature, pH and the amount of N are examined. The results showed that adsorption capacity increased with the increase of the number of N in the functional groups. The kinetic of the reaction is very rapid and follows the pseudo‐second order and clearly indicated that both the Langmuir and Freundlich models could describe the Cu2+ ions adsorption on aminated mesoporous materials well. Hence, the reported mesoporous materials herein hold great potential to remove Cu2+ ions from aqueous solutions.
