Sumario:Electric range is an important indicator of battery electric vehicles. China has been testing the range of battery electric vehicles in accordance with national standard GB/T 18386-2017 in the past until the new version of GB/T 18386 standard released in 2021. This paper compares the differences between the new and old versions of GB/T 18386, and analyzes the influence of electric range under NEDC and CATC test procedure. The results show that adopting to CATC, the range increase slightly, with an average increase of 2.20%. The simplification of the test procedure results in a significant reduction in the net test duration, with the reduction of 67.78% for the tested vehicle, while the test results are basically unaffected, only with an average increase of 0.60%.
