With these words, Manuel Portela Valladares, Minister of the Interior, claimed the peaceful and orderly Republic on the eve of April 14, 1935. I will study the planning and development of the celebrations throughout the country. I will analyze the use of national symbols, political speeches, participation of law enforcement forces in military parades, the degree of social penetration of activities and the presence of children in the party.Pilar Mera CostasCasa de VelázquezarticleApril 14CommemorationsLiberal Civic HomelandNational DayPublic OrderSpanish Second RepublicHistory of SpainDP1-402Latin America.
