The study’s universe consist of 454 patients in the state instensive care unit. The sample consist of 170 patients who agreed to participate in the study. Patient identification form and Enviromental Stressors Questionnire (ESQ) was used for collecting research data. The data were evaluated using the SPSS 18.0 program. Descriptive variables were presented with mean and persentage values. Independent Samples T test analyzes were used fort he comparative normal distributions between groups (gender, maritial status, ect.) generated by socio-demographic characteristics and Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal- Wallis test were used for non- normal distributions done. The mean age of patients was 47.34±18.98. Ptients aged 31-50 years, high school graduates, no chronic disease, 2 days in intensive care unit were more affected than other stressors in the intensive care unit (p<0.001).
