Sumario:Droit de suite or resale right – names of a property right regulated for the first time at the beginning of the twentieth century under French law, which conquered the entire area of the European Union by Directive 2001/84 on the resale right for the benefit of the author of an original work of art. We aim to examine in the paper the legal-semantic harmonies that can be outlined in the context of analyzing the content of the resale right, as well as the legal implications of translating this notion into the lexical imprint of identifying a right.
