It can be said that determining the determinants of parental stress, which is an important variable in terms of family dynamics, will facilitate the solution in practice. From this point of view, the aim of this study is to determine the parental stress of the mother's perception and spouse support variables. The study was conducted with 481 married and child-bearing mothers. The data were collected from their mothers via an online form created by the researchers. The "Parent Stress Scale" developed by Özmen and Özmen (2012) was used to measure parental stress. To measure maternal perception variable, "Maternal Form for Mothers", which was adapted to Turkish by Seçer, Çeliköz and Yaşa (2008), "Spouse Support Scale" developed by Yıldırım (2004) was used to measure spousal support. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed for each of the scales in this research and the results were reported. The compliance values of each of the scales were found to be within acceptable limits. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS 20 and AMOS 23 packet programs. Predictability of maternal perception and parental stress in peer support was examined by regression analysis in the study. According to the obtained data, maternal perception and spousal support account for 54% of total variance in parenting stress scores. The findings of the research were discussed in light of the literature, and proposals for applicants and future research were presented.Fatoş BULUT ATEŞİdil EREN KURTFırat Universityarticleparenting stressmaternal perceptionspouse supportSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 11, Iss 71, Pp 1-12 (2019)
