Sumario:The relationship that mass media establishes with their spectators differences according to historical, socio-cultural and technological periods. In particular, digitalization processes, which are experienced as technological innovations today, significantly change the connection established by the audience with mass media. It is accepted that cinema’s relationship with audiences like other mass media is influenced by social conditions and technological innovations, and that in today's conditions; a different cinema-audience relation emerges. This study was carried out with the aim of identifying and describing the general characteristics of cinema audiences in Turkey in today's conditions. The questionnaire was applied during the data collection phase while adhering to the field survey method in the study. According to findings from the research, cinema takes place more or less in the daily life of the individuals; It directly or indirectly influences the individual. In the interest of individuals to cinema and in their everyday lives, the space and importance of the cinema differs from person to person, and the attitude and behavior patterns related to cinema are also shaped by this axis. Besides, the changing and developing technological possibilities changed the habits of going to cinema and watching movies to a great extent. Film viewing practices have moved beyond movie theaters, and individuals have seen movie viewing behaviors much more frequently and intensely in domestic areas. In particular, it should be noted that the effect of the internet on movie watching behavior is very obvious.
