This issue is presented in its close connection with other issues (particularly migration, on which the novel offers an original vision that goes beyond the realist testimonialism) that also occupy a fundamental position in the text, in an attempt, in short, to elucidate the work as a whole, also attending to its structural ideation (highlighting the way in which the author uses, as a backbone pattern, certain stories about the access to the kingdom of the dead of the Mexica cultures, the Mictlán) and its particular linguistic complexion.
