Sumario:The aim of this study was to examine how the managerial skills of the school principals were reflected in an audio-visual source such as movies. The movie ‘Hababam Classroom’ is discussed on the basis of Katz’s three managerial skills approach by document analysis. In the study, the first five films of the first series, which were thought to contain more criticism of the education system, have been worked on, which have unchanged school principal and assistant principal. Characters of school principal and assistant principal have been analysed for leadership skills. Results showed that school principal of Hababam classroom had senior managerial skills. It has been seen that all of the school principal skills were in the professional/technical direction. When it was thought that senior principals who cannot have conceptual /intellectual skills may be able to endanger their organization and its employees, it can be said that the school principal in the series was in the role of a model administrator with appropriate managerial leadership skills. This study is thought to be important as it is an example for the examination of many series and cinema films which are subject to education of students today.
