In the research, document review that is of the qualitative research methods has been used. Research data have been gathered from the social studies course curriculum and the 7th grade social studies course book approved by the Ministry of National Education. In this research carried out by the document review within the frame of qualitative research method, data collection instruments have been determined as the curriculum for social studies course prepared by the Ministry of National Education (2018a) and 7th grade social studies course book (MNE, 2018b). Data collection instruments have been selected according to the criterion sampling which is one of the purposeful sampling methods.Data have been analyzed by means of descriptive analysis. In the findings, each activity in the course book, by having been examined within the scope of learning domains, has been presented in detail so as to regard the skill and sub-dimensions, and relevant results have been stated. As obtained on the results, it has been detected that the reflection of the skills included in the social studies course curriculum on the activities taking place in the 7th grade social studies course book is unbalanced; and even, the activities for some skills and sub-dimensions are not involved in, at all. Accordingly, it is proposed that the activities must be included in each learning domain in the course book, by paying regard to the distribution to be proper and well-balanced in terms of the skills aimed to be gained within the curriculum.
