Description
Résumé:The Revival of Sephardic Literature and Culture in Current University Education Sephardic Conversos’ literature is an example of the capacity of a minority culture to survive and save its identity both in propitious historical and social contexts and in dramatic moments. The Departments of Hispanic Studies have recently developed an interest in the study and recovery of the Sephardic Conversos past, silenced or simply forgotten for a long time. In this paper I will present my own experience as a teacher and a researcher of this particular genre of literature; in particular, I will focus on two aspects: the didactics and the research. The aim is to propose a debate on the importance of this topic in the academic field from an educational point of view; furthermore, I suggest a reflection on the interrelation between educational purposes and research freedom.
