One-step generation of multiple gene knock-outs in the diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum by DNA-free genome editing
The manipulation of diatom genomes is essential for industrial applications based on their metabolic abilities. Here the authors present an efficient multiplex DNA-free gene editing method using CRISPR-Cas9 and counter-selectable markers.
