Sumario: | The market environment, of increasing competition among economic agents, is more complex and multifaceted. As organizations diversify the range of products and services, consumers divide between specific niches that require, in most cases, conception of the customized solutions, with no extra cost. This apparent trade-off requires the investment organizations in innovation processes, which are based on the organizational resources that provide its implementation, especially people. Several studies show that the structural axis of innovation is knowledge. To encourage the expression of individual knowledge, its sharing and combination, providing, pari passu, the creation of organizational knowledge, fostering the development of the capacity to innovate, the organization need to develope absorptive capacity. This is a challenge, which depends largely on the organization’s investments for the development of intellectual capital. The reflection about possible influence of intellectual capital in order to enhance the organizational absorptive capacity, through creating a favorable environment for innovation is the structural axis for this work, in format of the theoretical essay, which results in proposing a framework, to be tested empirically. |
