The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between time management skills and academic achievement in nursing and public health students. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional descriptive-analytic study. This study was performed on 243 of nursing and public health students during the academic year 2016- 2017. Samples were selected by convenience sampling.Tesser time management questionnaire was used to measure students’ time management skills. Data were analyzed with SPSS 24, using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test and ANOVA. In all statistical tests, p <0.05 was considered as significant. FINDINGS: Results showed a significant correlation between time management skills and academic achievement in students (p=0.0001). According to the study, there was a statistically significant relationship between time management skills with gender, age, education level, housing, the enthusiasm for education (p<0.05). But the relationship between marital status, field of study with time management skills was not significant (p>0.05). CONCLUSION: In this study, time management skills has affected the students' academic achievement but students' time management skills was almost desirable.
