A chest CAT scan showed a bilateral pleural effusion and an extensive pericardial effusion. An echocardiogram showed signs of tamponade. Therefore, an emergency pericardiectomy was performed. The pathological report of pericardial tissue showed caseating necrosis and its Koch culture was positive.
