Sumario: | ABSTRACT The family Scoliidae is a group of wasps that are parasitoids of scarab beetle larvae and are important biological controllers. In Chile this group is underrepresented and has no clear distribution. The aim of this short communication is to report new records and update the current distribution of the scoliid wasp Campsomeris servillei (Guérin-Méneville). We also discuss probable distribution scenarios for northern Chile as well as some aspects of the biology and ecology of these wasps. |
