Double labelling demonstrates that the same cells express both antigens, even in undifferentiated mesenchyme. The enamel knot, and the ameloblastic and odontoblastic layers are stained at the same manner. In the chick, Wnt and β-catenin are diffusely present on craniofacial mesenchyme.
