The geometry at cobalt is distorted octahedral with the O atoms of a monodentate and a bridging acetate groups occupying the apical sites and O atoms from the hydroxo groups and N atoms from Bipy, the equatorial sites in each cobalt coordination sphere. Magnetic susceptibility data of powdered samples of the compound are presented.
