Under the optimum conditions, the relative fluorescence intensity of albumin was linearly proportional to Cr(VI) over a concentration range from 1.0x10-7 to 6.0x10-5 mol L-1 with a correlation coefficient of 0.9936 and a detection limit of 5.2 nmol L-1. This is a fast, simple, high selective and environment-friendly method, which has been employed to detect trace Cr(VI) in drinking water samples with satisfactory.
