The seaweeds Gracilaria chilensis, Ulva Complex and Macrocystis pyrifera present inhibition in the bacterial growth of tested strains. Three molecules, Phytol, 6-methyl-2-phenylquinoline and Neophytadiene were identified from M. pyrifera and in Ulva Complex extracts.
