Sumario: | Abstracts: A 48-year-old woman was brought to the emergency room with ventricular tachycardia that was eventually terminated by cardioversion. Clinical and neurologic evaluation, including electromyography were highly suggestive of type I Myotonic Dystrophy and genetical studies confirmed the diagnosis. A discussion about the diagnostic procedures and management of the disease, especially the associated ventricular tachycardia, is included. |
