Sumario:Abstract: In the last decade, Chile has prioritized export promotion policies for the service sector as a result of global dynamism of trade in services and the need for diversification of the Chilean economy towards higher value-added industries. This study evaluates the results and identifies the factors that explain the performance of the public-private partnership implemented in Chile to promote architectural services. The analysis suggests a poor performance, mainly as a result of the inertia on the preservation of strategies developed for goods to intangibles as services, affecting the design and implementation of the programs; also, the private sector presents, among others, collective action and associativity issues that limit the capability to develop market research and business models.
