Sumario:Abstract: This article explores a small sampling of the broader discursive climate surrounding conservativism in Porfirian Mexico. Finally, I also allude the thought of Émile Durkheim so as to show that Porfirian conservativism ultimately aimed to sacralize the prevailing social order.
