In this research, phenomenology design which is one of the qualitative researchdesigns was used. Research was carried out on total 22 first grade primary school teacher (12 woman, 10 man) working in Seyhan, a district of Adana. In this research, semi-structured questionnaire developed by the researcher was used to collect data. Data were analyzed by using content analysis. At the end of this research; most of the teachers have negative ideas about 12-year compulsory and intermittent education, they think that it isn’t true to take the school starting age to an earlier age, they say that it is good to raise the duration of compulsory education to 12 years, but they think that itsbeing intermittent is going to cause negative results, also, they say that they have problems in the first reading-writing process because of running and oblique hand writing, they suppose that new education system isn’t prepared by considering students’ development features, moreover they stated that they have problems more about the students in 12-yearintermittent and compulsory education. They suggested to remove running and oblique hand writing.
