Neste sentido, a dança afro se apresenta como um destes elementosque aproxima o corpo, a mente e o espírito,possibilitando equilíbrio emocional ao indivíduo submetido as agruras da realidade. Ela possui um efeito simbólico, educativo e representacional, porque o seu caráter utilitário permite acioná-la como barreira contra a desesperança e a incredulidade diante de um cenário nefasto causado pela pandemia.    Palavras chave: arte - dança afro – simbolismo – cultura – pandemia Abstract: Artcontains a spiritual force capable of finding a suitable place in the humanbody for its development. In this sense, afro dance presents itself as one of the seel ements that brings the body, mind and spirit closer, allow ingemotional balance to the individual subject edto the hard ships of reality. It has a symbolic, educational and representational effect, because its utilitarian character allows it to act as a barrier agains tho pelessness and incredulity in the face of a nefariouss cenario caused by the pandemic.
