Sumario:The relevance of solving the problem of managing top managers’ installations has been proved. A brief overview of the two types of mindsets identified by Carol Dweck has been given: fixed mindsets and growth mindsets. Examples of negative and positive influence of mindsets on the work of a top manager, which affected the company’s competitiveness, have been presented. The dependence of the organization’s competitiveness on the type of top managers' mindset has been revealed. Ways to determine the mindset of candidates for top managers and development of the growth mindset when preparing employees who are in the personnel reserve for promotion to higher positions have been proposed also. The methods indicated in the article for changing the mindset of personnel reserve employees require further research.
