| Résumé: | The work intends to recover the mediation process in Maranhão capital as a determinant of agrarian materialized issue in widespread violence against rural workers. It presents an overview of the process of organization and struggle of the workers. It discusses the role of illegal occupation as a determinant of institutionalization of violence and conflict in the f ield today. It concludes that the directed colonization consisted of only a policy that aims to spot conceal social demands, that th e process of capital expansion in the field of Maranhão has the issue of expropriation as a fundamental category and the analysis of the current dynamics of violence in the countryside reveals Maranhão as the main stage in field conflicts. |
