This was a quasi-experimental study with pre-test post-test control-group among true experimental designs. The study group was chosen among 7th grade students in a primary school in the city center of Ankara, Turkey. Among the 7th grade sections in the school, 2 sections were chosen for the experimental group and another 2 were chosen for the control group. The experimental group classes were taught transformation geometry with computer-assisted teaching method while the same subjects were taught through activity-based teaching in the kcontrol group classes. A comparison of the means of the test and control groups revealed that the computer-assisted teaching brought about a significant difference in favor of the experimental group in teaching transformation geometry.
