Sumario: | The main object of this study is to determine affect of on screen-reading to students’ attitude towards Turkish lesson. The research was carried out according to mixing research model used qualitative and quantitative techniques together. In the research, from quantitative research models pre-test last-test group model; from qualitative research models, interview technique were used. Dependent variable of research is attitude level of students to Turkish lesson. Independent variable of research is the environment where reading texts were presented. Students in experiment group read determined text on computer screen; students in control group read it on printed paper. Working group of research consists of 41 students in total that study at 8/A and 8/B grades of public school in Kocaeli Province Kandıra District. Quantitative data of research was acquired by ‘Personal Information Form’, “Attitude scale for Turkish lesson (Demirel, 1999) and ‘Reading Texts’. Qualitative data of research was provided by semi-structured interview form. Qualitative data of research was analyzed by using content analysis, namely categoric analysis; and quantitative data was analyzed by transferring to “SPSS 17 for Windows” package programme. In consequence of research, it was concluded that while implementations of reading from printed paper in secondary school was not effect on attitudes of control group students towards Turkish lessons (p>.05); on screen-reading implementations increased attitudes of experimental group students towards Turkish lesson.
