The sample group of the study consists of 360 classroom teachers from five different cities, Aksaray, Balıkesir, Konya, Karaman and Niğde. After confirmatory and explanatory factor analyses, it is seen that the scale is consist of 20 items and 3 factors. The first factor is consist of 8 items and explaining %27.878 of the total variance. This factor is called as ‘ Academic Competence’. The second factor is consist of 8 items and explaining %22.637 of the total variance. This factor is called as ’Practice’. The last factor of scale has 4 items and explains %12.259 of the total variance. This factor is named as ‘Designing’. For the first factor Alpha coefficient value is .89, for the second factor .93 and for the last factor .74. The total Alpha coefficient value is .95. On the other hand, it can be said that there is adequate correlation among the factors. As a conclusion, scale can be used as a valid and reliable instrument in evaluating teachers’ self-efficacy beliefs to teach thinking.<Yalçın DİLEKLİErdoğan TEZCİFırat Universityarticleteaching thinking, selfefficacy beliefs, classroom teacher, confirmatory factor analysis, explanatoSocial SciencesHSocial sciences (General)H1-99DEENFRTRJournal of Academic Social Science Studies , Vol 8, Iss 38, Pp 135-153 (2019)
