Sumario:This paper shows the results of a study that was conducted as a final research project for a master degree program, and then became the beginning of a doctoral thesis. The study looked into the potential that reflective and intermediary writing had for accessing and stimulating the reading experience of a poem by high school students. From the analysis of six texts written by three students it was seen that this kind of writing allowed to gain knowledge about the personal reading experience, and that it contributed to develop literary skills specific to poetic genre. It also showed some problems that went beyond the field of poetry and reflective writing but still affected their teaching and learning processes.
