Sumario:In this study is aimed the global competitiveness of the Food and Live Animals Product Group, one of the most important sub-sectors of the Turkish agriculture sector, was measured with the RCA, RSCA and TBI indexes for the 2000-2016 period. The competitiveness of the ten sub-sectors of Food and Live Animals Product Group was analyzed by two digit datas according to the SITC Rev.3. The study is important in terms of economic important of sector, a key sector should be analyzed and determining the areas that should be prioritized in agriculture policy. According to the index results, Turkey has a comparative disadvantage in the live animals other than fish, crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic invertebrates, and their preparations and in the other animals feed other than cereals and it is a net importer for the 2000-2016 period. Turkey has a comparative advantage in the products especially vegetables and fruits; sugar, sugar products and honey other than these product groups and it is a net exporter.
