Description
Summary:The author makes a parallel between the ancient baroque, the oriental one and the baroque manner of writting of Dimitrie Cantemir, relating it with the postmodern baroque. The study demonstrates that in all cases the baroque bases on a dichotomic structure, which means on opposites, antitheses and surprising turnings of the narrative act. The novel Istoria ieroglifi că by Dimitrie Cantemir becomes, interpretated by modern and postmodern romanian poets, a model of verbal labyrinth and of proteism of narrative plans.
